Security Engineer- Kansas City, MO (Nationwide)

Computer Security Consulting, Inc (CSCI) considers the Security Engineer as a Key person of the team. The Security Engineer is responsible for the development of a cohesive and productive team working under the Federal Security Director. Some of the Security Engineer activities include the following:

  • Performing Initial Security Determination using FIPS 199 Security Categorization on IT Systems
  • Determine baseline IT Security Requirements for IT Systems
  • Review security-related Deliverables for IT Systems
  • Provide C&A guidance to subordinates
  • Provide reporting to the client on status of security tasks
  • Establish, maintain, and test Technical Security Baseline Controls
  • Perform C&A activities
  • Develop SDLC and PM documentation
  • Develop and conduct training
  • Perform management briefings
  • Conduct question and answer sessions with client user groups
  • Develop white papers
  • Develop and implement custom enterprise IT security solutions for a wide array of issues
  • Perform IT security research in support of IT security directives
  • Perform training for clients and subordinates
  • Provide System Analysis and Business Service Management assistance using ITIL, MOF, or industry best practices.
  • Provide Network analysis in DNS, TCP/IP and other protocols

The individual must have 5+ years experience providing the experience outlined above, Bachelors Degree, be able to obtain a minimum of a Secret clearance and MUST have (1) CISSP, PMP, CISM other certifications are a plus (MCSE 2K3, AIX, Storage, CCNP…). MUST BE A US CITIZEN!
